‘Sound of Silence’ instrumental uses bass to convey a brand-new emotion for fans

Classic songs such as ‘Sound of Silence’ are based on powerful human themes. Tommy Lee Depp contributes his own interpretation with this sad bass cover.

When you first hear the original ‘Sound of Silence’, the lyrics contradict the upbeat instrumentals that accompany the song. If you listen carefully, you can sense Simon and Garfunkel’s agony and bewilderment.

Tommy Lee Depp captured the feeling with his bass cover of the song. During the same procedure, he was able to give it additional significance.

The bass cover, like the Disturbed cover, provides some more force and punch to the essential chords. However, this time there are no words to describe the emotion.

Depp pulls it all off on one of the most expensive bass guitars in the industry. Victor Wooten is the only other bassist that can carry off a similar approach. Both of these musicians have a knack for flare and the ability to inject their unique style into each song.

Tommy Lee Deep has maintained a strong musical presence throughout his career. Although excellent, his cover of ‘Sound of Silence’ is not regarded his best work. Hopefully, the song’s popularity will lead more people to discover his other work. Rare skill like this should be recognized and even considered for major honors in the future.
